Tzatziki

Tzatziki is a cucumber, garlic, and yogurt spread that adds a little kick to any gathering or meal. The garlic flavor mixed with a cool, tangy taste of cucumber makes a great addition to any food. Added it to pita bread and make it a sandwich. Or make it a dip and serve it with sides such as carrots, celery, or feta. This spread goes great with feta, any type of meat and any type of bread.

What makes tzatziki so great is the ability to be served at any meal that you could imagine. This is a classic Greek spread that is easy to make and great to eat. Opa!

Yields: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 tub (17.5 ounces) plain Greek yougurt
  • 2 cucumbers, medium
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Peel skin and remove seeds from cucumbers. Cut into one inch cubes
  2. Place cucumbers and peeled garlic into a food processor until minced
  3. Strain all juices from the cucumber and garlic mix, using a food strainer
  4. Fold mixture into Greek yogurt. Refrigerate for two hours
